Leyland Tiger / Duple Dominant. A couple of years after Rider regained it, the Halifax - Oldham 556 service via Barkisland reverted back to the 562 service via Sowerby Bridge introduced prior to deregulation. This lead to a faster overall journey direct down the A58 from Ripponden. Pictured at the Oldham end of the route, this bus is returning home to Halifax.
